RIZE Magazine is a Black magazine in St. Louis, which I helped to restart and rebrand as a Creative Director. The logo mark conveys the importance of visibility for Black creative and visual expression within the design world. Magazine issues interrogate themes of visibility, wealth, and community within the Black Diaspora.
The two most recent issues are themed Black Picture Day and Fortune. Black Picture Day engages with themes of childhood and unadulterated joy within oppressive educational systems. Fortune looks at wealth within the Black community through inheritance, legacy, and commodity across the diaspora.
